  • Sittin' On My Horse...

    Sittin' on my horse
    Saddle loose
    Runnin' the course
    I fell on my caboose

Get back up on that horse
    Continue the course
Get back up on that horse
    Continue the course

    I get up
The saddle is on the ground
Wiped the dirt off my butt
Looked at that horse an' frowned

Get back up on that horse
    Continue the course
Get back up on that horse
    Continue the course

    Walked to the horse
    Put the saddle on
Get on an' bucked off with force
    But hope is not gone'cuz

    Lookin' for a NEW horse
    To get back on course
    YESSIR!
    Lookin' for a new horse
    To get back on course

  • We Are Their Voice

    Moments pass like rain
    Wanting to save royalty
The king's crown is his mane
Heard for miles without a voice
    He calls to his brother
He waits for an answer that never comes
    his other half was executed
Living life was no longer a choice...

The surviving brother tracks his life bond
He knows there is something wrong
He gets so anxious he growls and drools enough for a pond
He remembers the sound of tragedy
Silence after war zones and angry gangs of prey
No more "r'oh" calls or nuzzles from lifeless bodies of the fallen
Not even in his prime and he's only half as strong as he was before today...

He slows down and looks around
The smell of two legged intruders and familiar blood is present
He's saddened but not surprised with what he found
He lay next to his brothers blood
He smelled it, licked it, and nuzzled the last remains of his beloved comrade
    His heart was broken
    Grief like a flood...

When will people learn that we need our kings and our queens of the bush and forest?
We need them to love them
We are the ones that give them a choice
We are their guardians with a voice...

  • That Wisdom

    Scratching my scalp
    Thinking too hard
    Blood on my fingers
    Pain turns into relief...

    I love life
    But it's hard to breathe
    I hate strife
But don't want it to leave...

A seed of wisdom sprouts and grows
Through its venous stem it flows
Too much time on my hands
Time I wish spent traveling to other lands...

If I didn't have the parents I have
    I'd be dead years ago
So I breathe yet another day
    Another seed sprouts
I stand in the greenhouses entrance...

    I don't move an inch
    I shut my eyes
    Reflecting on that scent
Remembering what it took to make that wisdom grow.

    It starts from a seed...

    It starts from a seed...

  • In The Place...

    A year ends
I walk into it without a penny of my own,
    Jobless with my hand out,
feeling like a time machine took me back...

Back to a time I outgrew,
    A time I wish I never knew,
Where pages of books, written by me,
    were supposed to have conquered hazardous idiosynchrasies;
I took a stand against mediocrity--and reinforced it with a,
    "Oh God please..."

So many people have an answer,
not one of them has been the correct one for me,
All these men and women want to make me rich,
    too bad for them I have a mind of my own;
I have the recipe. Now all I need are the makings.
The minute I have both I will be a well made man...

The success that is meant for the inner me,
is in the place my brain is meant to be,
Dreams are meant for those who are afraid to make a decision,
empires are built by people who act on their vision.

Taking action is the only way...

Taking action is the only way...
