    A cold blizzard
    Counting my blessings
    Giving them a name
    Moving forward like a warrior
Not like a horse that's lame
The bite of reality injures my ego
    So I remain humble
Life is too important to miss
    With too much pride
    I refuse to stumble
    Drowning in the snow
I know how to handle life today
I'll never get anything wrapped in a bow
Earning my way up to the horizon
I climbed out of the crevice
    Called upon my higher power
He was too high up to use Verizon
I spoke to him through prayer
To not seek help is failure
    With this game called life--
    I wanna remain a player....

  • This is so beautiful, and one of my favorite nights of life was a blizzard in Cincinnati so long ago, in our first house, and the Ohio River really froze over, and I kid you not, that the ice was so thick on the river, brave souls were waling back and forth or skating from Cincinnati to Newport and Covington, just so they could say they had walked on water.  It would remain below zero for three weeks, and there were power outages everywhere.

Blessings in your new endeavor.  I wil not forget you.
